^^^"just needs a good car enthusiast to fix it up"?
All the more to not pay that much for that car. Seriously, people expect "enthusiasts" to pay premium and not know what we're getting into.

I can read that ad and know what I'm getting into already. That means there's more wrong with it that what he says, it has been abused most likely, and needs a full drivetrain. Yes there's a lot of nice stuff on there, but $15K would still be if there was nothing wrong with it.

If that is the one I think it is, it was "professionally" done at a dealership for some retarded reason. I believe ASC did it, so at least you know it was done right, just not WHY it was done in the first place.

$500 RS just popped up in Reno. I can't get it so I'll pass it on. Posted only an hour ago.

Sadly my cars will probably be on CL soon. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not looking forward to that. I had planned to take my WRX with me but it's a lot of work to do that. Not sure at this point. Honestly would be easier to sell it, but this car will probably be a pain to sell (mods).
Seriously, back when my faithful lil silver "girl" still had decent trade-in value, an 05 LGT wgn 5mt was the one I seriously considered pulling the trigger on.
This one posted here reminds of Jeff's (AKA ipozestu's). And he had that thing dialed in!
I know the ad said no lowball offers, but is $10k+ really a fair price? Even with all the upgrades, I was thinking somewhere in the low $8k range considering it's an 11+ year old vehicle with 148k mi.

I think 2005 was the only year they offered 5MT 2.5GT wagons, but not that many were actually delivered. So desirability and supply/demand has to account for something; I am just not sure how much...
I really wanted an '05 LGT 5MT Wagon for a long time, until a friend got one. I still really do like them, and that was a nice car. I drove that car for about two weeks helping our mechanic diagnose an intermittent CEL. That car had some mild mods and made almost the same hp/tq at the wheels as my WRX, but at much lower RPM. You could easily tell from the driver's seat, and the car was great to drive. The only thing, and for me - this was a big thing - was interior space. It felt not really any larger inside than my WRX, but felt much larger on the outside. Maybe I need to drive one again. Still a great car to drive for sure.
Duh?!? How did I neglect the obvious? The desirability is certainly there, esp with us 4 drooling over it. LOLAnd like you, I have no idea how much of a markup its rarity demands.

And I feel you on cars looking larger on the outside than they actual feel from in the cabin. From what I recall, it did not feel dramatically smaller than it should be considering what its exterior looks like.
