Craftsman tools..?????
Ok. So my jack blew up. I have a craftsman 1.5 ton jack. One of the nicer low pro ones. Wasn't cheap.
it blew up. I've had it under a year. I can't find my damn receipt anywhere. I thought they had a lifetime warranty but apparently that's only on hand tools. I went to Sears and they said to go online and get the number and call them direct.
anyone know how I can get to the right people....I want my dang jack replaced. Thing has been used less than 10 times and it went bye bye.
Piece of ****.

as a rule of thumb, craftsman only warranties parts with non-moving objects, for examples wrenches and sockets.
Stuff like a torque wrench only has a 1 year.

I'm asking if anyone knows how I might be able to get through to someone that I can talk to on the phone about it. I can't find a number anywhere.
I figure they'd at the least be interested in knowing that they're jack blew up in basically less than a months worth of use.

OMG I had the same problem too, bouguht a Craftsman Jack and it went out after 6 months and tried to exchange it at Sears. What you could do is, but a new one (exact same model) and just return the broken one and make sure you have the reciept. I'm not say that I will be doing this, but it should work.

hey justin...that's a good thought. My fluid drained all over the damn place at hammy. I know it's empty and that's why it's not working but I just kind of assumed that somethign broke...that's why it drained. I guess I can try to fill it and see if it holds.
what you could do is go to Sears and cause a big stink right at the tool section. My cousin and I did that and they warrenteed the jack right there and gave us a new one. The u-joint broke so the handle could twist and let the jack down. Would have sucked big time if we didn't have another jack handy to let the car down.

doubt it. I think everything that remotely looked like trash got tossed in the clean up.
Hopefully this week the garage and downstairs will make some progress....picked up a new couch and some chairs this weekend...pimp.
