You're right. None of them have a Super Bowl Ring either.

I was responding to the Allen Iverson comment.

Bench him, trade him at the end of the season. He's a primma donna. We don't want another Owens in the making.

Crabtree is a buttslut. I lost so much respect for him. He only signed cuz the niners r doing well. What a chump. Singletary should suit up and stick him himself. Hahaha that would be sick

Highly unlikely unless he explodes as an andre johnson or T.O. like in his dominance.
Since there's no way he'll make the probowl this season that means twice out of three years.

And with Shaun Hill as the QB I don't see that happening. Only guy on offense that has a shot to make it in 2 out of the next 4 years is Gore.

maybe the last of the 4 years if something happens to Gore and they get a new QB. Right now it's about the run. 25-30 passes a game don't equal pro bowl numbers for a WR.

supposedly there's one more option for the contract to void one year early...and that is if he reaches the Pro Bowl once in his first four years, and if he plays in 80% of the offensive snaps in a year where the 9ers go to the playoffs.

Now THIS condition seems much more reachable than 2 ProBowls in the first 4 years...

either way, i'd be happy with THOSE results, cuz it actually means we're getting our money's worth!

Yeah if he can make the pro bowl basically within his first 3 years and plays that often then I think he is worth the money for sure.... as long as he doesn't destroy the locker room atmosphere. That's a huge part of why the niners are as strong as they are right now.

There are some serious receivers he'll have to beat out so that's saying a lot. Hell if he becomes a true number one by the end of next year they got what they paid for. By true I mean the first look guy. an every year 1000 yard 10 td kind of guy.

I like how he stays away from cameras and doesn't yap. Hopefully he shows himself by his play.

I again, think Vernon Davis can be a Jason Witten of the Cowboys (probably even better, since he is stronger/faster). He's already becoming explosive. Add a serious wide out to the mix and the niner offense should be able to move.

Again I think what separates the noob WR's vs the good ones is their ability to run routes. Not just speed, not just size, but the ability to juke guys during routes and hence, making yourself open all the time (Witten from the Cowboys does this all day, there is a reason he gets near 10balls every game).

Another example is Isaac Bruce. He's been in the NFL for a long time, but the reason why he catches more ***** than Morgan is because he can run routes phenomenally, MAKING himself get open, beating his battles.

As long as Crabtree can do that (and I wouldn't see why not, he has Rice near the area and Bruce to learn from) along with his work ethic in college to become a top first round pick, he can help the team win.

I think having a guy like Bruce around will help a TON with crabtree.

The niners core with the addition of a guy like crabtree and continued improvement from Davis could be super solid. Talking I could see them as a superbowl contender in a couple years.

Specially if they can come up with a true number one QB. But hell teams have won with guys like Hill before.... alla Trent Dilfer.

Ravens had nothing BUT defense to win everything a while ago. Pittsburgh has a run game and defense (when they won the 1st Superbowl with Big Ben). His #'s were outright ugly.

1st is Defense, 2nd is rush game, 3rd is QB.

If anything, minnosota looks scary now that they have a QB who can make passes + a run game that is nasty. In addition, their Williams guys on the Dline are great defensively stopping the rush.

Back in the Superbowl years of the 49ers, Bryant Young, Stumblefield clogged the front. Fast linebackers, Norton, Plumber, Woodall, and Deion Sanders on one side of the field made their defense hard to get through. Add that with an offense that kinda sucked rushing, but had good passing and a good QB made them a Superbowl dominating powerhouse.

Saints have a powerful offense... but a mediocre defense.

Jets have an awesome defense... mediocre offense.

If one thing has been shown throughout the playoffs, it's a team with a solid defense that gets a ring.

The Vikings have been my pick for Superbowl champs since the day the Favre deal went down.

The Colts, Ravens, New England, Saints and the Jets almost in that order are the other stand outs.

San Francisco is looking solid but not super bowl read. Same thing with the Jets and the Saints. Same with San Diego and I still don't buy Denver as the real deal but who knows.
