You make it out like the 49ers are a good team, they are a joke, as are the Raiders, hell the world would be a better place if a plane carrying the 49'res crashed into the Oakland coliseum during a Raiders vs Packers game and took them all out. (along with all the idiot Raider fans we east bay folk have to put up with)

(Dolphins fan all the way in case there was some question)
Dan Marino was a great QB but there was one thing that he never was able to achieve, and that was a SUPER BOWL RING!! even though he did break so many records it doesnt mean squat if you cant win the BIG GAME...so i will agree with you in saying he was a great QB but again NO RING...

and back to the topic at hand, yes crabtree will help out the recieving corps and bruce should be able to give him some pointers!! hopefully he plays in the NFL like he did at Texas Tech

To bad this place doesn't have sig lines, that is totally sig worthy.

Anything I can do for a laugh! But seriously...I cannot think of the Dolphins and NOT think of Snowflake and Ace Ventura.

I think once he learns the offense and pays his dues he'll make an instant impact. He was hands down the best receiver in the draft.

I think the coaches will basically make the team understand that more talent can only help. He won't play right away. Mike will make DAMN sure that he's not gonna disrupt the teams flow before he lets him play. Then he'll slowly work him in. I think by the time playoffs roll around he'll be a playmaker and that can only help things.

Glad they signed him. Glad his dumb *** came to his senses. Hope he fires his cousin.

agree with what you say, here. not sure if he came to his senses tho, which is why i still have lingering concerns.

reports say (and yes, those are just reports) that perhaps the NYJ link to Cashtree was indeed more concrete than the Jets made it out to be. Is the timing coincidental? We see the Jets get Braylon Edwards from the Browns on the same day Crabtree caves in and signs?

We'll prolly never know the truth, but where there's smoke...

I'm sure there was tampering there. The Jets needed a top notch receiver... ALMOST...ALMOST as bad and the Raiders need a valid number 1 QB.

almost. haaaaaa.

But yeah I'm sure that was a huge part of it. But I know one thing for sure. Coach Mike won't stand for any crap at all. Nothing will get in the way of him winning.

funniest part in ACE VENTURA was when ace revealed that the lady cop had a "mr winkle"...

every one in the scene then started spitting... including marino...

lol...

btw, i see crabtree as the next ocho cinco. not as a next TO.

anyone who saw the HBO feature chronicling the bengals in their preseason, saw that ocho cinco cares for the team. he's a team player.

where as TO was a gun for hire...

Yeah cause T.O. played with a busted leg for his own good.

but I see your point.

But I see crabtree as crabtree... so far... stupid and coming off an injury. untested. high upside.

Until he does something on the field, and I'm not saying he can't, he's just an expensive rookie.

Actually he's less expensive than the other rookies, there are lots of rookies with crazy insane pay. Crabtree (knowing the niners never spend crazy $$) probably has a crap deal for pay, but they did invest a good amount into him. I'm just excited he's finally signed and in 3 weeks we'll get a pro debut. (after the bye week next week).

Some sources are siting 32mil for 6 years, 17 guarenteed. If he has 2 of his first 4 seasons pro bowl, then the contracts drops to 28mil 5yrs. Other incentives would ramp up his pay to 40mil based upon performance.

Highly unlikely unless he explodes as an andre johnson or T.O. like in his dominance.

i still think he's a major dick for postponing then shutting down talks, then realizing we're an actual winning team and almost doing the walk of shame to get signed.. Coach Sing should bench him all season till next years camp and then run his *** like a dog

He was actually at camp most of the time during training, doing other extra curricular things. He never truly bounced on the team.

In any case... I did wish there was a base cap to the 1st year in the NFL for rookies.

If you're drafted, highest you can get paid is 3mil, least is 750k or somethin' like that. Limit is 1 year. Negotiate a deal afterwards.

At least then the rookies know they will be with the team who drafted them either way, and go to all the camps and train and get acclimated asap and do their thing out there. If they refuse, then they won't be allowed into the NFL.

This also helps the teams, as they don't have to invest huge amounts of $$ to see a rookie work. In addition, if it works out and they like him, they can try and resign him later. If they dont think he's that great, they are unrestricted free agents.

Yea, but what about Charles Barkley, George Gervin, 'Nique, and Patrick Ewing? =/

Anyway, give Crabtree 3-4 weeks to learn the playbook and get familiar with Shaun Hill. He'll get a few snaps here and there after he does. He should know the situation he just walked right into with that attitude. Nothing's handed to him, especially under Singletary's watch. I just hope he shapes up the same way Vernon Davis did this season (that guy is a BEAST).

Davis is beasty, can't wait to see Crabtree develop =P. Davis has always been a beast, he needs the ball more than what he gets.
