vapor... not true. Front license plates are always mandatory. But, very rarely will someone give you a ticket. I got a ticket in Palo Alto on my olds cutlass, but it was obvious that I used to have a plate on it. My mom got a ticket for not having front plates when she was in Santa Barbara on her lexus gs400.
of course, the tickets are fix-it tickets. and in palo alto, they seem to give them out like candy. but... what would u expect in stanford land?

It's called profiling. Because of the other idiots that race around, everyone else with a car like this are guilty by association. On the front license plate thing, you usually won't be pulled over because even many cops think it is a pretty lame reason to pull you over, but CHP are more incline to do it. Oh, and someone said something about pulling over if you are being followed...don't ever do that. They will stop right with you to see why you are trying to avoid them. If you really are trying to avoid them, sometimes the best place to hide is right out in the open.

Nah dude, i have a sweet wrb wrx and when a cop sees me, he gets mad cause he knows i could smoke em. My wrx could smoke just about any cop car out there, so when i pull over i'm doing him a favor, cause i could have easily smoked him. Also, keep your ride waxed and the radar will bounce off of it.
My SRP sedan gets mugged like crazy by cops. I've gotten three tickets since last August. It pisses me off because I know some friends who drive way ****ing crazier than me and haven't got pulled over once.
The first one I deserved, however, the second two were complete bull****. I definitely feel like I get more attention because of the color and the type of car I drive.
