Okay, I feel that I'm pretty tolerant...but I can't take this anymore!!! Lately, EVERY cop I've passed feels the need to look over at me or follow me for miles! What is going on?!?!?! I'm not speeding, I'm not weaving in and out of lanes, I'm not following closely, I'm just cruising along, trying to blend in with the rest of the traffic at or below the speed limit!!!

It's gotten to a point where I know I've been singled out among the "herd" and that I feel I'm being harassed.

Does anyone else feel this way driving their WRB WRX? Man oh man, I should've gotten the white or the silver color instead.

Maybe this is a corrulation to the police force stepping up their traffic enforcement, but in the two years that I've owned this car, I've never felt this way before.

Man I love white...I cruise with the CHP all day long and they never give me a second look.

 

Dough, just ignore them asswipes. The more you look back at em, the more they flex their muscles. As long as you have not broken any traffic rules you're ok. Otherwise ditch em.

Sorry to hear about your experience. When I was driving the SRP WRX, I really didn't get any flack from cops around the area. I don't know why they would harass WRB WRXs, especially since WRXs have been around for a couple of years now.

I totally feel you only Ive been getting pulled over a lot for DUMB AZZ SHNIT im so mad dude and it seems as if very cop has to go out of his or her way to make me shyt a brik or two! im tired of this and it sux cause we cant do anything about ir OMG I never wanted to say anything cause people would say im paranoid but im the last to be paranoid,also I think that our cars have been getting into the wrong hands lately due to the incresing popularity, I guess the Cops know now. Any reccomendations from anyone? or like stories?

 

i like my WRX....it's sporty, functional, and quirky...and that is why i haven't brought myself to get rid of it.

i also can't fix it up....i don't want the added attention of having even functional mods: dash gauges to tell me what my car is doing or a 3" exhaust pipes to let it breathe. there is no way i'd roll around with those mods b/c i'd attract even more attention.

um.... stories... um... recommendations..... I'd hate to incriminate myself with any stories, but what I will say is that you drive a WRX and if you put any Cop car head to head-to-head with you.... you have a better 0-60, better 1/4 mile, and better handling.
Just make sure they have a reason to pull you over ... no license plate.... hehe... need i say more?

 

I agree with dough boy... that's why I go with an acessport and a downpipe. Make you're car so "sleeper" it's "comatose"

 

That i s why I bought the '04 wagon. It blends in well with traffic. When I bought my wagon one of the sales guy gave me a knowing smile and said sumtin about being more stealthy. If you look at the wagon (especially from the back) it doesn't look like anything powerful.

 

I love my wagon. I nearly got silver but my last car was silver and silver is the least ticketed but most hit colored car. So I got white. And I am incredibly happy.

Right now I have 2 things going for me..haa. well more. One it's pretty much stock. two it's a white wagon. 3 it has no plates.

at least twice I know I would have been nailed if it was a different car..like my old civic or even if I had plates.

I pulled onto 680...90mph when I hit the freeway...right in front of a cop. I slowed. He pulled up next to me. I looked at him. He drove right on by. The other time I was driving on jack tone road off the 4. Doing 85. I fly by a chp bike...they don't take crap. I slow..he flips the ***** comes up behind me...then just stops off the side of the road again. crazy. 30mph over the limit. and I know he saw me brake check.

NO PLATES>.haa. though I told myself I'd put em on at 20k and that will be this weekend...sad.

 

On Monday I was driving back from Monterey and was practically all the way home w/ out seeing one cop then I'm about to get off at Thronton exit on 880 and CHP bike pops up outta nowhere when I signal to exit. He pulled right up on the *** of my RBP RS then up at the top of the offramp went around me and took off. Scared the crap outta me but luckily he didn't do anything, I wasn't speeding and had all my registration stickers ect..

 

Do you have a wing on your car? they were bugging me when i had my cf wing.........

If they follow you in the future, try just pulling over or pulling into a parking lot.

I have never had the police follow me very closely, but I know I wouldn't like it. And if the officer kept on following me I would then pullover. Either let him pass or if he stops with me talk to him or her.

 

is it true that you dont have to put front lisence plate if you bumpers have no holes for it? or is that just a myth?
