cooling intercooler?

i was thinking about running c02 to cool my intercooler. Wondering if my A/F ratio will get so messed up that it will lean out with the denser air.

It won't effect your AFR. The MAF sensor measures the actual mass of air being inducted by the engine/turbo and adds fuel appropriately. It will be similar to running the car on a very cold night.

The only issue that arises with this sort of setups is that sometimes people use nitrous to do the cooling and some of the gas ends up getting sucked into a near by cone filter. Since the tune is not set up to propperly handle nitrous, this could cause issues.

Thanks

im not worried about any nitrous getting to the cone because im running Co2 instead of nitrous and my intake cones down the fenderwell anyways.

I would guess that if someone was running a short ram, co2 is inert so it could potentially starve the engine and rob you of power. But, that's just my guess.

wat im doing is buying used nitrous bottles off craigslist. and then buying used solenoids. im pikcing up solenoid and a bottle w/ bottle opener for only 160. Then ima buy the nitrous line from like Summit. Im still deciding on if i should set it up. Either gonna have it spraying directly at the IC or ima have it ran so that it sprays where the Water Sprayer nozzle is so all the air thats coming in is Cooler.
