Yes and no.

Regardless if you've been drinking or not cops tend to take advantage of people. I'm sure its happened to you before when you were doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Whether I have had a drink or not... I see or hear about a check point.... I go the other way. I just don't want to deal with it.

I'd be that 8 out of 10 times these "random" checks would "randomly" choose me to pull to the side. It's like random security checks at the airport. You have a turban on and you're "random" percentages are going to be a lot higher than if you're white and wearing a business suit.
