I agree with you... Tis a shame that it ended the way that it did... Conan got the shaft, but he was also being pretty unreasonable, so there were negatives from both sides of the beast. :-/
TBS is going to be interesting... I really don't see his ratings being anywhere NEAR what they were when he was on after Leno... What do you guys think?

Personally I think it's going to be really good with Conan leading in to Lopez Tonight. I've watched a few of the Lopez Tonight Shows and thought they were pretty decent. Seemed like he was getting some pretty Good Quality guests as well.
You can be certain though that there will DEFINITELY be something written in to this contract about him having his specific time slot and not being forced to move or adjust his schedule just to accommodate someone else's show.

Well played TBS, hopefully they let team CoCoLoco (Conan & George) have decent reign over their bits. Cable channels have less restrictions than the bellweather networks.
I know John Stewart has a "no production notes" policy with Comedy Central ,and that seems to work. He refines every script during rehearsals & they have a pretty open pitch process over there as well.
