Try removing the battery and powering it up. Just a shot in the dark but who knows?

Is the computer not turning on now? Or is it that whenever you try to add music it just dies until you start it back up again?

I bet the thermal grease probably melted off. Dell P4 based systems crapped out cause of that all the time with the sub $1000 notebooks.

If you want when you get back I can take a look at it for you.

Sounds like iTunes is crashing your computer. Just try reinstalling it.

Do you happen to have enough memory? Ram and Hardrive? On some computers I noticed if its lacking hardrive space or ram and your trying to run a program or save files it shuts off. Go to your hardrive properties and see if you have any space left.

Try this: does your computer turn the fan on about 5 minutes into using your computer? If it does, then it means you have lint clogging your cpu fan cooling path.

If you need more help, bring it to me. I fix ****.
