It seems that people don't actually know the definition of racism.
According to Merriam-Webster, Racism is defined as:
1: A belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
2 : Racial prejudice or discrimination.
So, let's take the first definition and parse it out. It is clear that Racism takes TWO elements. First, one must believe that "race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities." Second, one must believe that "racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race." So, even if you think race is the ONLY factor that determines how a person will behave/act/etc. you are not racist unless you ALSO believe that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
Now, let's take the second definition, and parse it out. So, I'll assume we all know what "racial" and "discrimination" mean. Let's look at the definition of "Prejudice."
According to Merriam-Webster, Prejudice is defined as:
1: Injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights ; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims.
2a (1): Preconceived judgment or opinion (2): an Adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge.
2b: An instance of such judgment or opinion.
2c: An irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.
Well, it's clear that we're not talking about injury/damage, so let's set that one aside for now. Let's look at the 2nd definition.
Preconceived = to form (as an opinion) prior to actual knowledge or experience.
Basically, all of the definitions under 2nd definition of "Prejudice" require some kind of opinion, adverse or otherwise, to be formed prior to "actual" or "sufficient" knowledge. So, as applied to the 2nd definition of Racism, it basically means you have to form an opinion about a particular race without knowing ANYTHING about that race. Well, unless you've lived under a rock all your life, chances are, you know SOMETHING about the different racial groups. Granted, "actual" and "sufficient" are somewhat amorphous terms, but I think we can all agree that 1st-hand interactions you may have had with a racial group, observations you may have made, etc. would all meet the "actual" or "sufficient" threshold, no?
So, under the actual definition of "Racism," what exactly has the OP said that is "Racist"?

The bible is up for interpretation. It wasn't a law written in the constitution, or a law made. Just some guys runnin' around writing scripture that controls other folks into doing acts with no purpose to go to heaven.
If I say ghetto, and you think black, well that is another social stereotype, and I believe many people on the board associate that word and race. Why? I've lived in the bay area all of my life, and that's what I came out with when I grew up. The social media (movies, etc.) link the two here and there, and growing up around the area and people, I know the lingo that people use. So when I said ghetto, I wanted to be descriptive so you have that idea in your mind when the words came out. Calling it racist is just another failed attempt to twist words and throw pellets at a boulder.
I don't mind the slack I get from you two jumpin' back n' forth, it just adds to my fan base. I know it adds to my fan base because I'm sure you guys will be stalking around my other future posts to point out and argue your sides of the case. You guys just seem to think I'm provoking when I state my point with valid argument being as explicit at possible.
I do laugh at your attempts to report my posts linking me to some Pro Hitler Aryan racist and attempt to get me banned. That would be harassment, but I won't be reporting that to any of the mods, like everyone else has with me to the mods. I'm just as normal as everyone else, except I'm not afraid to speak what people whisper to their friends or think in the back of their minds.
In other posts, I explicitly say I don't give a damn about cops, I don't hate 'em or like 'em just like every other person here. It sucks to get busted with a ticket every once n' a while, but that doesn't mean I hate them all. I post my videos when cops do some crazy stuff when it's out of line and give my opinion to why I think it is inappropriate for that action. The overwhelming defense on the board comes to rescue pretty fast in those instances, and seriously you can't defend all cops cuz humans are not 100% correct. So I think they're just plain blowing air when it gets to these cases that were caught on camera.
Same goes with politics, but that's a different story. I am pro citizen and I wish the government would back off, as obviously what they're doing is making this country suck. I say let capitalism run its course, government stay as minimal as possible (obviously again, they need to protect the country, but not go into other countries and throw in democracy, regulate certain foods, etc.) so I don't mind paying taxes for stuff that I see. It's all the taxing for almost everything, and we're still in debt? I mean what have all our taxes gone to? Wasteful spending and consuming.

If you knew anything about being POLITE, then you would have refrained from stating the racial judgments in your head. The way you speak shows your overall maturity. Stop *****ing about how everyone is out to get you and do something productive with your life.
I am sure a lot of people here THINK something racist every once in a while or even daily, but the fact that they don't let it run their lives or spew hatred on public forums shows maturity.

What does this have to do with people out to get me? What I have seen and what people have shown is that you and a couple of handfuls of people need to do something more productive then jump over posts that I post. THAT is clearly shown. Who says racism runs my life? I expressed a story, just as everyone else expresses a story every once and while. You just need to jump on me instead? Try and twist my words? Give me a break, I think you need to show some maturity and stop complaining. orrrrr what? CLICK somewhere else. You entered the thread, you chose to type and write, so please, don't give me the "showing of forum maturity" on here, obviously you need to look into the mirror.
There is a thing called being polite, obviously the girl wasn't and I felt like I wanted to vent here and see if anyone else can relate and offer a perspective on rude people.
You need help.
I should really stop posting. No one is going to change their minds and no one can win an unregulated debate. I shouldn't reply, but I'm going to do it anyway.
A definition of a word is not just a definition of a word. Two hundred years ago the definition of 'man' was drastically different from what it is now. Language is an incredibly powerful tool and how definitions can be skewed.
I've never reported one of iLoqin's posts. I've never thought of iLoqin as being a Pro Hitler Aryan racist. I do believe that iLoqin is prejudice but no more so than I am.
This quote is a perfect example of prejudice in language and possible internalized racism. It implies that that those who are victims of reverse racism are normal. I'm going to take a leap and assume, based on the surrounding text, that those that practice reverse racism are black. It infers, probably unintentionally, that black people are not normal in the poster's mind.
Discussing current events is fun. I take a particular interest in topics pertaining to social justice. In most cases I try to state a prospective not my prospective. I don't have opinions in a lot of issues. I'm to wishy washy and indecisive for that.
Honestly...
y so srs?

This is absolutely no fair, absolutely reversed prejudice, and absolutely humanly ****in impossible for normal people to fight.

Sometimes people in public are hard to deal with. Complaining on the internet about a rude woman in line at the bank only makes you look like a child. Why? because things like this happen ALL the time (just like cops being bad). Welcome to real life. We all run into rude people at the bank, grocery store, school, work, on the road. Do we all complain on the internet about them? Sometimes, when it's warranted. But a woman at the bank who may or may not have been standing in line? Come on. Deal with it.
Given the severity of this incident (which is so minor), you went ahead and assigned social constructs:

So, given the severity of this incident, why would you need to make that statement? You could have easily left all those parts out to let the reader evaluate the situation, not based on skin color, since that has nothing to do with seeing "if anyone else can relate and offer a perspective on rude people" as you stated two posts ago, which is the goal of your thread, right?

Complaining? Take a look at post #1 of this thread. Cue pot/kettle/black cliche (no pun intended).

Given the severity of this incident (which is so minor), you went ahead and assigned social constructs:
What made you think her BF would be a slangin' drug addict, which was after you stated she had a "ghetto black accent"? I'm not making any assumptions. You made the comment, so let's hear your interpretation. Also, is a post like that mature? Many would say 'no'.

My goal was to be descriptive and then to ask for an opinion. So no, it isn't my goal to keep anything neutral, as it was my goal to describe the incident in my point of view. So if the incident seems lopsided well gee, probably because it came from my point of view.
I could make breaking my pen a huge deal, all depends on my description and how in depth I wanted to get. I made a point to ask why the hell is it always black people that I run into who are rude and seem to have no manners. Sure it isn't 100% of them, there are plenty of them who are respectable and presentable and actually act accordingly.
I know what real life is. This isn't anything new, bring up a new argument. Like I said in my previous post that I answered with, I brought up a story, it is your choice to take the initiative to respond, to enter the post, to read another story of mine. So besides commenting on the commentator, how about you comment on the story instead of knit picking me. Or we could have another boring discussion that isn't on the topic at hand.
On another note, I remember walking in the mall and hearing a conversation across the mall like she's talking to the rest of the world. Of course, when I looked it was a black mother with another mother and ebonics. Keep in mind these were mothers with strollers. If that's how the parents want to raise them, then really it is just apart of life. IMO to me that is rude, not sure where they would get a job like that being that loud, but to each their own.
