all I'm going to say is that many people have jobs that are irrelevent to the College Major they had or graduated with...

Go see a counselor. There are many more majors out there than you realize. I, for example, am an Industrial/Orgonizational Psychology major with a Minor in English. Figure that one out. All too often people chose something obvious, i.e. English, Liberal Arts, or Sociology without realizing how much more there is out there.

Alright, that means I'll end up being a music producer instead of a graphic/web designer like I spent $20k+ to go to school to become!

I wish.... ;_; *sigh* One can only dream. If only I had a pro teach me the ropes.

Academy of Art University. The Honda of all art schools. They air their commercials 24 hours a day on TV. So I feel like a ***** for going there. I've met people from other art schools who hate mine. =(

Nobody can predict what you'll end up doing...

I studied liberal arts, but have spent most of my career managing businesses, two of which I owned.

New Media Design. It's just a mix of different mediums in the computer art department that's not 3D. I just call it the "jack of all trades" major since no one knows what the hell a new media designer is since the major is so new and not many schools use the term as far as I know. I'll be looking for part-time or intern jobs in a month or so, I still got another semester to go after this one.

To the original poster, sorry about hijacking your thread. Just find out what you like doing or at least tolerate. Best thing for now is what'll be something you'll make the most out of right now. Pick a major you'll put to good use. Then run with it until you find something better.

I'm majoring in Criminal Justice Administration with a minor in Sign Language. Go to the website of the 4yr college you tend to graduate from and look at all the different majors. Cal State Hayward, has the majors and then all the classes you must take to complete the major. Anyways, hope this helps and good luck finding a major!

thanks for the informative input everyone

school is not going so well and im considering joing the army or the air force

i just dont kno what to major in or what to do. confussed........

i kno its not a life and death situation but ppl sure make it seem like that bcuz

it determines how much money ur gonna make,

then in the eyes of the majority how much u make defines who u are and

where u stand on the food chain
