ok so im trying to reupload mapps to my access port because i sent my accessport to cobb to fix the broken screen. but they deleted all the stock maps. so now im trying to hook up the null wire that came with the cobb access(http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/Default.asp?id=3309) that wire. only problem im having is that this has 2 rows of pin and my computer has 3 rows. so i need to purchase an adapter? anyone know where i can get an adapter?

 

serial to USB adapter is what you need dood. the "3 rows of pins" is called SVGA, AKA Video output.
Sadly most new'ish computers do not come with the old standard DB9 "2 rows of pins" serial interface.

sounds like you don't have a serial port (its old technology that only cobb uses/used recently :P )

go to Circuit City, buy the DB9 (ooooh, aston martin) serial to usb converter (don't do ebay most of them dont work with newer windows)
