CHP pissing me off once again...

A month ago my cousin was driving my WRX and gets a speeding ticket, punkass ticket. 72mph in a 65. Obviously the cop was being a little ***** trying to meet his quota. No big deal, he gets his courtesy notice and is going to court to fight it. Now today, I opened up my mailbox and find a citation for "no front plate" in my name. WTF. The date is the same as the date on my cousin's ticket. But the cop made no mention to him about making an additional citation for no front plate. Now, since obviously I was not even in the car at the time, there's no way in hell I could have recieved that citation and signed the ticket. So WTF, does this cop think he can go ahead and add stuff on as he goes along? It has my name on the ticket im assuming because I am the registered owner of the car. And ususally aren't fix it citations given to the person who was driving the car at the time and not the owner of the car? Someone chime in here pls.

Meter maids can hand out no front plate tickets (I got 2 that way, just left on my car). Its not a moving violation, so it doesnt have to be signed.

yea, these are easy to deal with though...put the plate on, go find a cop somewhere and have them see that you have the plate...they will sign the ticket and you send it in and done.

I got one of these when I parked overnight in SF somewhere...came out and it was there....pretty easy to deal with but bunch of crap nonetheless

You know who's worse than meter maids? Security guards. Where I work we have a covered parking garage that is supposedly patrolled by security guards. Some one thought it would be a good idea tho let these 18 year olds write tickets for timed parking violations and such. The bottom floor is reserved for a three hour linit while the top floors are all day parking. The problem is these guys don't do thier job and seem to get a hard on for writing tickets. A co-worker of mine has had his car broken into three times on the top floor in the last year. Another guy also recently got a ticket for parking longer than three hours, even thought it was only two(we proved it by showing him the time card) this really pissed the guy off. Another co-worker got a ticket for parking in a compact designated spot. She drive an 88 civic. WTF?
