I think it's because of terrible officiating. No fouls called.

 

Even after watching it several times I still can't tell exactly what started all of that. It seemed like one of the Chinese Team players shoved one of the Georgetown players and then all hell broke loose.

 

From the reports I read, it was biased officiating. Not many whistles were blown against the Chinese in that game and it just got heated.

I didn't see any basketball playing... I saw a bunch of sore losers.

Chinese sports is notorious for such fights. The players fighting is one thing (this was a military team though, you could tell these guys could throw punches and kicks quite well), but the fans?! They were storming down to take shots, throwing chairs and full bottles of water...

I guess this is a good part where you could say "Mess with one of us and you have to mess with all of us (Asia)"

 

My Lithuanian brothers are going take bronze, silver, or gold this time!

They always get put in the most competitive heat (USA,Argentina,China)

 

Maybe in the next Olympics they will luck out and face the lame teams first and them beat the good teams in finals!
