Cheap Airfare Tickets?
My wife and I have been on a tear the last two years. We've flown all over the place (Thailand, Peru, Europe, Middle East, Cancun, Hawaii three times, and Vegas three times, LA four times, Phoenix three times). All for fun too. We do all our booking thru Expedia. It may not be the greatest site, but it's treated us right. Just pick a site with points/miles and stick with it. We're Expedia Elite members through 2015 at this point. Free room upgrades at select hotels and 24-7 concierge service.

If you go to farecompare.com, they have an article claiming that they analysed a bunch of data and came up with the rule you should by tickets Tuesday afternoon.
I use hipmonk because their user interface makes finding the cheapest fare at the times you want to fly easy.

I was wrong actually, it's cheapest to book six weeks out.
