It was actually $900.00! but I got them down to this.

call them and tell them that she was SURE she was on Wifi, and NOT using data roaming. if you try enough some CSR will allow you sign on to the international data plan, pre date it, and the bill be like .50xMB or whatever the international rate is. The bill will be like hundreds less.

 

You may even be able to get them to cut it in half. I had two months back to back with ridiculous cell phone bills. The first month I was in Canada for work and the total for the month was $1500 of which $900 was on one email attachment. They screwed me because I had my payment set up for automatic payment so they took the whole amount. The next month I was in the UK also for work and my bill was $900 for the month. I turned off automatic payment and negotiated them down to $450. Luckily I didn't have to pay either bill but I got a lot of stress about it from my manager.

 

Why the hell did she not use wifi?

Should have disable roaming, disable mail fetch, activate airplane mode, register for skycap, and use wifi only for phone calls. Or just don't take the phone out of the states.
