sup everyone, two days ago my car threw on the check engine light. Got the code pulled and its my egt sensor. Its reading low numbers so I'm thinking its trashed since I have a catless up-pipe. I was thinking of getting the resitor fix but was unable to find it anywhere. Are there any vendors like MPJperformance or WorldOne that has one I can pick up around the bay area. I use my car everyday to commute to school and I was wondering if its bad running considering the check engine light is still on? I really need to fix this asap, any inputs will be appreciated thanks.

 

If you are indeed getting a CEL from the EGT sensor, you will normally get a P0420 code. Follow this thread and it will give you instructions on using the 2.2k ohm resistor mod.

If you are getting a P0136 code, it is usually associated with the rear O2 sensor malfunctioning. You will need a MIL eliminator to get rid of this CEL. This CEL usually only comes on when running catless though. At least in my experiences.

is it true the resistor fix for the 02~03s dont work for the 04s? Gruppe-s told me it wouldnt work so I would have to wait until it comes out.
