Catted DP that passes smog?

Anyone recommend a catted 3inch DP that'll pass smog with minor mods?

Just lookin' for an alternative way to make power and pass smog without having to swap the turbo back.

You should be okay with any catted DP as long as it's hot when you take it in... I think. But then again, I have no idea what I am talking about, so you might not want to take my advice.

I passed with the Perrin catted dp. Drove around for a while then when I showed up left it idling until he was ready to bring it in the shop.

Why not just run a catless downpipe and swap in the stock one when you have to smog? It takes about 45min to do, but you don't have to do it very often.

Technically speaking, only the OEM DP w/ cats is legal for street use.

Yeah so if you're going to break the law you may as well say **** it and go all out with a catless at that point.

Reason I run the catted is that it passes smog and I don't have to swap anything out. IMO less work = better

Correct me if im wrong but the inspector is probably not going know the difference between and oem and aftermarket downpipe if they both have the cats in them.

One thing I notice about smog tech people do when I pass my 2002 rex, they look for a cat (single) under the car. That tech didn't have any idea about my car, only looked under the car for a cat. Has no idea about uppipe and
2nd cat at the downpipe. This is what he told me, "as long as you have a cat." But I did put my stock dp to pass. So, if you are going to buy dp that might pass the visual check, you may want to go for a dp that has stock looking heatshield at the 3rd cat location. And nothing shiny.
Perhaps somthing like this:

But if I were you, I would still switch back to oem dp when the time comes.

catted downpipe, with stock heat shield, as long as it's not all shiny and such I don't think they'll see much of a difference.
