Catback Quandary

Looking to finally get that nice exhaust note for the car, '13 WRX Hatch

A few CBEs that I am looking at

Cobb
Invidia Q300
Perrin

I much prefer the 4" tips on the Invidia over the 3.5" on the other two, but was not the biggest fan of the Invidia "burnt tips" look. I like the "stealthmode" option for the Perrin (which I am not sure if they offer anymore). Also, not sure how loud the drone is on the Q300.

I am aware the Cobb tapers down which will be restrictive if I decide to venture into the 400hp realm in the future. That being said I plan to definitely go Stage 2+, not sure how much more?

Not sure on the Perrin design and if it tapers down like the Cobb.

I am just torn between my options and am looking for some opinions from everyone. Feel free to throw out some other options.

Also, any issues you guys have had with your CBE playing well with your DPs and such once you have moved to Stage 2 would be good to know/optimal combinations from your experience.

Edit: TurboXS?
Would also like to put the R205 Rear Diffuser on, any restrictions?

I've had the q300 with the R205 before. The diffuser works fine with any quad catback currently being offered for the hatchback. The Q300 drones bad above 75mph. Some people can live with it some can't. Just be aware that it is loud and drones like crazy at 80mph.

The taper in the Cobb catback won't affect your cars ability to make power with your stock turbo when you go stage 2. The power maker comes from the downpipe.

Any of those catbacks will bolt right up to 99% of the downpipes being offered for our cars.

Good things to know, not sure I could deal with crazy drone over 75mph

Where did you pick up your Milltek exhaust, Mann Engineering?

Another option is Corsa exhaust.. no drone and sounds great. Honestly right now I am a bit pissed off with Cobb since their downpipe isnt a true 3" and I had their catback on my 2012 hatchback but when I had it on.. it roared but because im not looking into that anymore.. Corsa is the new exhaust im after.. just takes a while for it to be built but it is a v-band setup I believe. If I were you.. I would wait till the summer as Killer-B is coming out with their downpipe for the EJ25 and probably EJ20 motors and of course like all their products.. they are QUALITY. However you can always go with any other company you choose.
