no its not doing anything. doesnt even act like it want to turn over. im almost thinking the new starter isnt right.. i can hear the fuel pump prime when i turn the key, so thats not it. sounds like the starter is getting power so i dont think its a relay or a fuse either

So the new starter does the same thing the old one does.. What exactly did you do before this happened?

it might a be a seized motor.. its kinda weird tho because if i turn the crank pulley to the left (opposite direction of a running motor) the motor turns but if i go to the right its stuck. very very bad feeling about this because Ive gone through 2 motor rebuilds with this car already

the car was running fine other then a power steering leak. i figure its a good time to take the intake manifold off to clean/repaint it while i fix the PS leak. put everything back together. then when i started the car i had a bunch of white smoke. checked all my line to make sure everything was good, and it was. so i figured i had spilled some coolant into the head while the manifold was off.. did an oil change and now have this problem

Could you turn it before? Is it just the compression stroke or is it metal thunking? Try turning it without the spark plugs.

How old is your timing belt? Pull you timing cover and check the belt condition and tension, if its slacked or broken prepare for another rebuild.

just compression. no clunking sounds, like said it turns fine in the opposite direction. timing bet has less then 3000 miles on it. I'm done looking at it today. start disassembly tomorrow

Have you checked the flywheel teeth like a few others have suggested?
