No kidding right. Wish one of these billionaires would just build it themselves and run it as a private business... virgin rails or something.

A fiat 500 is exactly what I had in mind. Enough pep to get around and should get solid mpg all the way there and back. Or the hopes was to get something and try to talk my way in to an upgrade.

Got bumped from a jeep to a convertible once and we got offered a charger rt down in la instead of the traverse we got. But we had 4 people and luggage... charger no bueno.

So I can either do the hotwire deal and cross my fingers or just call some places... only problem is I can't get to the phone calls for another couple horus.
I had a brand new Yaris before the 500. It was pretty fun too, and had 4 doors. I admittedly beat the crap out of it, but I had fun driving it. Bluetoof radio for music and all that, enough power, really light and good A/C. I had it in LA and Lancaster. Jumped it once or twice. I have to admit I really like driving just about anything. I had a Town Car from the San Bruno Enterprise and had a blast driving that up/down Sharp Park and HWY1.

Not that anyone would ever go to Lancaster, but if you do - check out Kinetic Brewing Co - it is amazing and IMHO worth a trip to Lancaster (I can't believe I said that).

Enterprise weekend specials: compact compact car with unlimited miles= 19.99/day +tax

Full size car with unlimited miles= 24.99/day

But I'm not sure they have the specials anymore. I'd help but I'm out for the whole weekend...good luck to you

I used to do a lot of traveling for work when I was 20-21 and Enterprise was the only one that would rent to under 25. I learned that in London when Hertz wouldn't honor my reservation because I was only 20.

so u want a Budget rental? seriously if your not willing to drive a POS don't rent a car

these cars are stinky used and abused new cars I love them and rent regularly but I keep my standards low.

My advise: bring a air freshener and expect to have to take it to have the car ran thru the full service car wash if tou get a dirty one

I didnt read the rest of this thread, so sorry if someone mentioned it. Enterprise has a 3 day rental (fri-sun) for $29.99. It's a decent car too, last time I got an impala which was pretty damn peppy (Though I think that was a free $10 upgrade due to my height). My friend got a Dodge Magnum. Anyway, don't opt for their insurance, makes it cost way more... Yours is just fine.

To add to this, if you have a MasterCard and use it to pay for the rental, the CDW (collision damage waiver) is covered. Now you should have multiple forms of insurance.

That would be awesome, and you know it would be run better if it was private.

Private run is the only way to go. Look at slow *** NASA and how much everything costs them... Now look at SPACE X and look how fast they have evolved and for a fraction of the cost.

NASA sucks.
