I want to go to this, even though I would be the only wagon probably, it sounds like a ton of fun!
Anyone know if a motorcycle helmet will work?

It will indeed, anything SA95 and up. I went to the last one and I was the only Subaru there. It was a lot of fun.

comon October, get with the program...All BMW's are RWD.

sounds like a fun event either way though and a good learning experience, even if you don't have a RWD car.

Yup, you learn the same stuff. People thought the suby was cool. The instructors all wanted to drive it and they pushed me harder in the exercises because they said my car was more capable

There are 3 exercises; a skidpad, a braking/emergency lane changing drill, and a auto-x/slalom exercise. Even if you've got track time, it's still fun. And you can't beat the price for $70.

so you dont need a membership in anything to attend? all u need is $70, an approved helmet, and a car, bmw/mini prefered but not required?

From the looks of it, sounds like that's all you need (car, helmet, and $70).

They probably put BMW/Mini preferred because this event is being thrown by a BMW club. Either that or the instructors are more familiar with bmws and minis.

Just sign up and have a blast

I neglected to mention that I am a member, but you don't have to be one. If you have a friend who is a member, then you can go as a guest I believe. Who wants to be my friend? JK...

The BMW guys are pretty cool and there's all type of people there; all ages and sexes. It was only about 75% BMW. One guy brought his Chevy pick-up truck with an LS1 swap.
