Where would the fuel pump controller be located at?
I was reading around for the fuel pump relay and the best answer i got is pass side kick panel, i took out the relay and was able to put it back more than it was when i first took it out. started it and all seems normal, but still running a bit rich. not as much bogging as before but certainly better than before

Ok, i spoke too soon, it's still doing the same thing, so frustrating. any possibility it's the relay? I see two of them down in the kick panel

lol
OP: See if someone you know has a stock unit, or if someone you know has a Walbro you can swap in to help diagnose. I heard from a little birdy that the Walbro's have been known to fail prematurely. I run a Walbro as well, and have been for almost 3 years, but will be switching to a Bosch 044 within the next few weeks. We can't complain though, after all the Walbro's are dirt cheap for the flow they provide. Gotta be some issues with them at that price point.
If I were in your position, I'd probably be hoping it WAS my fuel pump since it's <$100 quick fix (unless you choose to go with a Bosch). Let us know what you find out.

opened up the fuel tank to swap back to the OEM pump and noticed that the o ring on the fuel filter that connects the two halves had a chunk missing and that the top part of the filter wasn't even seated. Could this be the problem? Possible to buy that O ring by itself instead of the whole fuel filter?

Paul - The o ring connecting the two halves of the filter somehow ripped apart and some wierd way the top part wasnt seated all the way. It was 75k miles on it. I plan to change it out soon because damn the filter was dirty as hell.
vodka - yeah im glad it was a cheap fix. Thanks a lot also for your help and everyone elses!
