I third that notion...

If it's your grandma mostly driving, I'd say get a basic family type car since that's what you described (except for the fwd). If it's going to be a daily driver, I doubt you'll feel much different in turn in at legal speeds (keyword: legal).

If you're really not interested in FWD, I'd have to recommend an Audi. Something like the A4 3.2.

well since you bring this up, did you have a fwd vehicle in mind?
my family wanted to pass on the acuras
Yeha, the Acura TL

It's the most fully loaded car you will get for 35k IMO.

The IS250 is a great buy as well though

wow that 08 legacy does look nice from that picture!~

for the price i think the is250 would probably the best choice.
it gets a hellof a lot better gas mileage than the g35 probably due to the engine sizes. gas stops wont be as much. the stance on the lexus chasis+the wider wheels looks a bit sportier to me as well which is a plus for my parents and i. i havent checked out the insurance yet, but i have a feeling lexus will be a bit cheaper due to the power comparisons and engine size. i guess we'll also have to pass on the subaru mainly because of the difference in the quality of interior between the the is250 and the legacy. i think my family like more of the luxury style this time anyways. take a seat in the legacy, then hop into the drivers seat of one of the top of the line packaged is250..you'll immediately know what im talking about haha.

our initial quote for the premium package rwd was 32,000. although we wouldnt need those options other packages have to offer, the eye candy is pretty dam tempting. premium doesnt even come with hids ;[

im thinking tungsten pearl would be our choice of color. black does look sweet also..

thanks for the advice all,
Justin
