so take it for what it's worth.

but yes, the killer part about the 5d mk2 is the killer glass you can readily swap out...
they mention make up in the write up but they also mention that for lighting they only use 2 modeling lights the whole time, and yes interchangable lenses is an amazingly convenient feature!

Meh. The audio will be awful and focusing will be difficult. Camcorder's aren't good at taking pictures and this SLR probably won't be good for taking video.

a lot of the industry is demanding video (for websites) in addition to photos. I think its a great feature to incorporate, but would be nice to see some of the kinks with the video aspect sorted out.

pretty cool. I dont think i would get one though, i mean if i had the choice of a $3000 pro camcorder or this.

what the hell is up with this...it does a pathetic 3 fps shooting for pictures, but can do video? doesnt make any sense.

Just like tires, youll never be happy with one that do two jobs...you need your summer sticky icky and your winter M+S.

of course its an amzing feature, and its definitely a travelers camera. I hate walking around clanking my SLR against my camcorder on trips thats for sure! but it would take me 6 months to make the money for a 5DII haha

but for the guy that could buy one every month, no question.

Do you know why they are only 3 fps continuous shooting? some of the high level full frames are 10fps and the old and new 5D are only 3.X fps.

My 20D is 5fps!

My 40D does 4/5 FPS, but the 5D is a whole different type of camera, mainly set up for people who use remote lighting and flashes, I had a 5D but sold it right before they lowered the MSRP because of the 5D replacement, I also had a 1D that shot at 8FPS but I probably only used the function once in a blue moon
