Canon 5D MK II Video......
So, I think camera technology has finally taken the final leap, Canon has a line of SLR cameras know as the "D" series, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 1D, Etc....
So, with the PS3 coming out and half of america having access to Blu Ray high-definition media, video cameras have had to step up their game,
In Novemeber canon is releasing the 5D MK II, a 21 Mega Pixel full frame camera (that i'll be pre-ordering within the next week) that shoots blu ray quality 1080p video, at first I figured the video would be a half @$$ side feature that would be cool at times,
After seeing this video that was made of RAW non-processed video from canons new digital camera, I'm thinking of starting a video production service, starting with making a Subaru Blu-Ray sampler video, I have been shooting and editing video with my video camera for awhile but with this camera coming out it would make it much easier to shoot and edit HD video in bulk.

That is amazing. I just found out about the D90 and thought that was impressive, but this is just wow. Too bad Im a nikon guy and all my lenses and everything is Nikon, so I will just wait for the (obvioulsy coming to compete) Nikon equivalent.

haha, Nikon always catches on, I think of the two companies as, Nikon is always way ahead of the game with their lenses, and canon has always focused on their bodies

i wish they never made a dSLR that did video. it's a great feature, but i'm sure it compromises other stuff. spend the money on R&D for a sensor that has more dynamic range, that can do awesome low ISO and high ISO. take out all these bells and whistles and just give me a damn camera that takes good images and charge less. take out live view, take out movie mode, take out all these features and charge me 30-50% less.
opppssss, forgot this was a subaru forum.

that video was shot with professional staff, from lighting to make up.
so take it for what it's worth.
but yes, the killer part about the 5d mk2 is the killer glass you can readily swap out...
