I know eastbaysubaru already corrected you, but are you saying that, as the story indicated, since "he has nearly won," he'll likely come up short in the end? Ya know, like my beloved A's (and even Warriors) have done in the past... just not in the last couple seasons... when they're playing well & maybe sneak into the post-season but choke when they were an out or a run (or a defensive stop or a bucket) away from advancing.
Yes, I am a sad but faithful supporter of almost all our Bay Area pro sports teams. *sniff sniff*

So Paul raises a fair question. How dirtbag of a move would it be if race or any of the other classifications a customer might fall into arbitrarily provided him/her w/ something extra which you were denied?
We all seem to understand the letter of the law but this hat promo dust-up seems like one where we need to embrace the spirit and intent of the law.

Most of the replies here have been typical lynch mob mentality.
That being said, the dude is a dufus for suing over something as trivial as ****ing hat.

The aforementioned article (Thanks again eastbaysubaru.) also mentioned the Unruh Act, which states that "[a]ll persons within the jurisdiction of this state are free and equal, and no matter what their sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, language spoken, disability, medical condition, marital status, or sexual orientation are entitled to the full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges, or services in all business establishments of every kind whatsoever."
