Just an idea, i have an STI and i was wondering if i could swap my car's engine and transmission onto a 99 2.5rs coupe. Is this possible to do, i know there have been EJ20 swaps, but not heard of any EJ25 STI swaps.

there are lots of problems..like throttle by wire, and other little stuff...do lots and lots of research, then make your decision

 

Speak to the guys at LIC as it's not that hard to do, nothing a WRX intake manifold with throttle body and some wiring can't sort out (there are a couple of other things but nothing major) I'm putting a forestor XT motor into a L at the moment and other than the above I only needed to fab a cam position sensor mount that took me a simple trip to my fabricator.

Wiring = Headache. But everything else seems straight forward. All the mentions about LIC are justified. They were recently used for a tech article at SportCompactCar.
