When I say STi struts I don't mean ones taken off a US market STi.
I'm 99% sure that the spring/strut combo pictured in the OP's image is in fact a dealer option offered through Subaru. Non-adjustable struts with black springs/gray sleeves (the bold... that's an important clue - OP clean off just a bit of the bottom of the spring to know for sure). Oh, the struts were more red than pink.
If you happen to have an SPT catalog laying about you can see a picture of them.
If I could see them in person I'd know for sure, but that is where my money is leaning.
is there a nut at the bottom going through the red/pink housing??? if there is a nut on the bottom, then they are inverted shocks. which means they are off an STI. I have Spec-C suspension on mine
Negative on being partially right.

Does it look like a bolt with numbers 1 through 4 on the head coming out of the top of the strut? I have that. I'm going to try and find some part no. Stamp but nothing so far.
Yes it is numbered 1-4. but there is no **** on the agxs. It is adjusted using a tiny flat head screwdriver.

What looks to be an adjustment nut on top...

No **** on bottom...

Based on this logic, they're probably the KYBs. They look almost identical to the stock USDM STi struts in your pic, but look like they're adjustable from the top. When I lift up the boot, all I see is the red painted metal cylinder. No markings on it which is weird because looking at the websites that sell KYB struts, it looks like there's supposed to be some kind of a label in there. Granted, I can't lift it very far because it's hard to get my hands in there and I can't jack the car up and take the wheel off in the parking garage here. They are def. red not pink, my DROID's led flash is just hella bright.
