so I get ready to install my subiedude SS in my 02 and the shifter and linkage are obv not from an 02. this car had a spec C sti complete drivetrain in it that was parted out and replaced with stock. This shifter and linkage at the minimum are not 02 suby though, verified against the net and another friends 02 stocker. anyone know? I am guessing 06?

 

hmmmmmm looks a lot like this http://www.driveperformance.subaru.c...2/upgrades.asp which is a sti short throw assembly, all the way down to the narrower barrel the bolt goes through.

 

looks like you found your answer the fix for that is to order a 2.5rs short shifter. i ran into the same problem. tom from kartboy confirmed that a 2.5rs short shifter will work or you can do what i did and dremel off 1/8 of an inch on each side of the current short shifter you have.
