Can Anyone Help me Tomorrow?

Hi
A bunch of you might know me. But about a month ago i got into a serious accident. My car is totaled and sitting in a shop in Newark. Well, Insurance has been a pain in the ***, and now i find out i'm being charged to keep the broken car in the shop.

I NEED PEOPLES HELP! I have 3 parts i need to strip off the old car *and put the stocks back on quick status* Coilovers, exhaust, RSB w/ endlinks

If anyone has time to help me out tomorrow I'll get you lunch or a 6 pack or something!

TIA

If its a junk yard, they're really strict about taking off parts and what not from my personal experience

Hi there, what insurance company are you under? What exactly is reason for the hold up on your total loss settlement according to them? The insurance company really should be paying storage if they're investigating coverage or the facts of loss. If you can let me know a little bit more about your claim and especially why the claim is taking so long and/or why the insurance company is making you pay for storage (that is, their reasoning), I might be able to try to figure something out for you.

Also, another thing to consider re: your parts: if your policy covers mods, you might want to leave them on the car if you still have your invoices so that you can be paid in full for them. However, if you don't have coverage on your mods, try talking to the body shop nicely about letting you swap stuff out. You might even be able to talk them into helping you if you're nice enough

Oh, and I hope you weren't injured. Good luck!

Thank you but that last message was really unnecessary.

Insurance is being a pain, for other reasons.... and since i've been injured and stuck at home, they have paid for a month of holding already and its BS to try to get them to pay more.

I have authorization to go get the parts. Im looking for help hence the title of the article. If i had the receipts i wouldnt be stripping the mods.

Thanks for the concern buddy, have a good day

Why has insurance been a pain in the a**? Is it because you were doing something illegal, and they're trying to find a way NOT to take responsibility and pay up?

You make this sound like an hour or two of someone's time, but a lack of planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on the part of everyone else. Lunch or a six pack for at least 4 to 5 hours of labor? Wow, must be nice thinking you can get off that cheap.

He was just trying to help out considering your first post sounds like you're being screwed by your insurance company. Why is it BS to get them to pay more for the storage if they've been dragging their feet on paying out? You're looking for help, but with the attitude I see written here, especially in your last post, I doubt anyone is going to help you at this point.

Good luck to you in retrieving your parts, and getting someone to help for $1.00/hr. in compensation.

Don't think its asking too much if you're asking for help to tell people what the insurance situation is. If you need help and "no questions asked" you better be willing to compensate more than a value meal and a pat on the back.

I had totalled my car a couple years ago and was told by insurance that my headers, intake, magnesium wheels, ECU, etc wouldn't be calculated in the final payout even though I have all receipts. What my insurance did was call 3 local dealerships, gave them details of my car (year, model, condition, mileage, "kbb" options, etc) and the dealerships gave them the average of prices they sold those cars for recently. The shop and insurance company allowed me to swap out any parts I wanted, and the car would be re-appraised based on what was left in the car. I basically swapped with my original stock equipment and probably salvaged myself about $3000.

Wow, are you ****ing stupid? or just ignorant?

Insurance company is being a pain because they refuse to wait any longer even tho i'm still having medical problems. And since it's been OVER a month since the accident of course they are going to have to call it a time.

Also, That isn't 4-5 hours work...... with 2 people and a lift i can get it done in maybe 2 hours top. Also Roo, I'm a very generous person, the few people that i've treated know that.

That's Fine if no one wants to help me, I didn't expect or plan on any help anyways but put it out there just to see if anyone was interested, because people here like to work on subarus.

So next time you want to butt into something trying to be "high and mighty" check your approach. I wasn't trying to be mean, but he totally ignored what my post said. This was just a question if you wanted to help me, Not an inquiry on what was happening.

So please keep your childish comments to yourself,

Thank you.
