personally 06/07 Outback Xt are damn nice and the NA model gets 26-30 miles to the gallon.

I get 26 mpg on 3.378 cylinders!

say paul, what are you burning in your avatar? I've always wondered...

I'd say, get a GF and WRX swap that mother.

But I'm biased.

We checked out the Forester but the trunk wasn't much bigger than the Focus we are trading in. The Outback had a fair bit more room.

I'm thinking a 2.5NA Outback for the Wife and kid, I don't need the high ride height so maybe it'll get springs/rims/tires...but apart from that NO MODDING.....Don't let me mod it Noah! If I ask you to mod it tell me "No Glen, your not modding this car"

Ha Ha, well the good news is, there isn't much out there for mod purposes (in regards to performance), you would be amazed with just what tires can/will do!

I had an '02 Outback for a work vehicle. I spent a lot of time in it and I loved it. Great car and it will haul a lot of baby stuff! Congratulations on the boy.

That would be the stand that held the exhaust venting hose that Juicy's car set ablaze.

Went to check out a few used Outbacks at Carlson Subaru this afternoon, 60 minutes later I've just bought a new 08 2.5NA.

They cut me a sweet deal way under invoice and threw a $1500 rebate and 6 years bumper to bumper warranty in with it..I couldn't say no.

So as soon as I hit the on-ramp to take it home I remembered why I hate Bridgestone RE-92's so the first thing I'm getting is a set of rims and some decent tires.

Alan @ Carlson Subaru was cool, he was happy to show me the invoice price and was prepared to negotiate.
