and a word of warning - If you see a light blue BMW 2002 (1971?) WATCH OUT it is a sleeper! Mazda Rotary engine non-normally aspirated.

Hi im not very knowledgeable, but curious. How come people put tape over their headlights? Is it to protect them from road debris?

 

It makes them look fast and hard.

 

well some tracks make you put tape on your headlights to

1. Separate classes by using different color tape (amateur, beginner ect.)
2. in the event that they break due to accident or debris so they don’t shatter all over the track and cause a road hazard for others...

It’s mainly used in Japan to separate classes but most do it to save their headlights from debris and to look cool haha... especially when the headlights are plastic
