busted clock... now what?

So my clock died out a week or so ago and I finally got around to calling the dealership for a price on a clock... and I find out it's gonna cost me just over 80 bucks for a new one. I figure for 80 bucks, I could just guess using the sun. So now there's a giant hole on the top of my dash, any ideas what I should fill it with? Gauges are out since I'm gonna be mounting them to the steering column.

just look for a post-crash part out, or ask someone local that has the center gauge pod, they probably tossed their clock in the closet or something

I took it apart and found the broken solder. As usual, i-club comes through in the clutch. Thanks for all the input, hopefully this will work.

My clock is broken as well...however I'm not too keen with a soldering gun or whatever it's called (don't even have one). Where would this 'subaru junk yard' you speak of be?

I'm gonna try to solder this thing back together tomorrow at work, if it works, I could try to help you out.

you wouldnt have to solder, the wiring harness plugs right into the clock unit

I have my clock minus the rubber butons (lost 2 when I installed my boost gauge) Let me find it and it is yours for the cost of shipping. I will look in my garage tonight.

btw my glass is painted red with see through paint so your clock will be red.

They're in Glendale (Los Angeles) but they ship and have good prices on used stuff. I've bought plenty from them in the past.
