Glad to hear you are safe and sound. I drive 880 every day to and from work. So many ways to get borked. I'm sorry this happened to you. Where on 880?

That really sucks sorry to hear that, you never wake up thinking today my car is going to catch on fire. Any thoughts on what you are going to get next?

880 South, just past the 92 exit - traffic started to pick up then came to a screaching halt. Thx for kindness...

Lol yeah my wife did mine in at 40mph no fire but the car should have been totalled. The body shop didnt realize the engine was shot till AFTER they did all the body repairs.

Plus side NEW MOTOR

down side 13.5K carfax repair........LOLOLOLOLOL

Glad you are all ok. My wife was fine after her accident...One of the reasons I LOVE my subie. If it was an EVO she would have probably been much worse off....

Again, thanks for the subie-owner love - making this a lot easier to deal with!

From a damage to the front end aspect, the airbags didn't even need to deploy. The hood scoop was not even damaged (goodbye V7 JDM scoop!)and it didn't hardly even leak any fluid afterwards. also helped that we hit dead straight on.

I'm tall, so sit far back and don't think I even hit the airbag with my chest/face - got a dandy of a bruise on my left collar bone area tho.

yeah. Hilarious.

At least I pulled the box containing several thousand dollars worth of company gear out of the back seat first. And it was more the e-brake area enflamed, so I was like at least 24" from the fire. Mostly I was trying to keep my stuff from getting covered in fire extinguisher powder. Good thing the CHPs extinguisher malfunctioned at first, giving me time.
