You only see videos of brz with 400hp but you dont get to see what happens behind the scene. They probably work for weeks if not months to produce a 3 minute video and then after that its back to the shop

but who knows this is just my guess and opinion
Or you guys are all missing the simple fact that they could swap a STi motor in it...

Well don't the BRZ and WRX share the same engine? I thought they weren't going to do turbo in the BRZ cause then it would push the car out of the "affordability" aspect.

Get ready for higher insurance premiums and a lot of wrecked BRZ's when/if they come out with a turbo model.

Once used ones start floating around they'll go up. Because then.. Cheaper price = younger crowd buying them. And attempting to drift them.

I see more FRS owners crashing then BRZ owners. Hopefully the higher price of the BRZ strays super young teens away. Plus a turbo brz will be up there in price putting it close to 26k-30k.

hopefully they ditch the direct injection and go back to traditional fuel injectors
or the tuning options will be limited unless the owner wantsto pay to upgrade the factory fuel system

If no one buys the first model then it will die and we wouldn't see an STi model

Shops are already exploiting the benefits of direct injection. There's a turbo out there already pushing 400bhp with the stock injectors. The turbo variant of this motor will almost certainly show up in the new WRX and is supposedly already the next motor for the Legacy GT.

Having it turbo stock brings a lot more smog-leeway when it comes time to modding it. It's a lot easier to increase the power on a turbo car and have it still seem legal than it would be to add a turbo to an N/A car. This is really only an issue for people in CA that want to stay under the radar.

I didn't think the inside felt small, but the car itself was smaller than I thought the first time I saw it in person. Still haven't driven one yet.
