i think you need a spacer, less than 5mm though. but after a few sets of 17's and a set of sti brembos and a brembo gt kit, i think its just overall not too fun having that little clearance in the first place. i always got rocks stuck in there.

 

I have Rota SDR's 17x 7.5 (no spacer) and I've had no problems. Hope everything works

 

that really means nothing. Ask him to test fit first?

I've seen that post on CL for a few weeks now, sounds like a good deal if they clear. I would think if they didn't fit, a 5mm spacer would help it clear since they are 17x8 +43.
