Lets say your product costs you $10. Lets say by mistake you quoted the customer $8.

Now, if you are a big corporation like Macys or Sears, sure you can afford to eat that $2 loss, so you will go ahead and sell it for $8.

Now, lets say you are a small business owner like your parents or my parents even, you don't have capitol like Macys or Sears so you have to say, I am sorry sir, I misquoted you the first time around, the price will actually be $13.

Now....One thing I have to say is the approach...making up a fake 'friend' was a terrible approach, I am totally against that and I will have to agree with Mandy on that note.

(Lawmandy, if you respond saying 'but anyone can afford to take a $2 loss' im gonna hit you in the head with a downpipe @ UCKK on tuesday)

the whole point i was trying to make was the approach and why not just come straight out saying he got a higher offer so he'll sell it to that. Understandable, but saying his "friend" offered him 160, and now if anyone wants to pay more, here's the chance was what i thought was pretty ****ed up. Shows u what kind of "audio store owner" this guy is, just like the rest of them.



Thats why i hate dealing with these greedy blood thirsty owners who try to rip people off, instead of making decent money and hoping for those customers to come back.


Now with that being said, he's right at how he's a store owner and i do give it to him that he probably has more experience than me. However dont go and say obviously he doesn't know jack **** about how to run a business and all that when off the assumptions u pulled out of your ***. I dont like to haggle prices when i know i'm getthing hooked up, but if u tell me this price, and when i actually go and try to purchase it u tell me it's not that price? then

 

Thats one thing that needs to be understood, but ****, u cant expect the store owner to loose money on a deal....its not right....now if the owner is doing it constantly over and over and customers start to realize it, then yea, its getting out of hand. It also gets out of hand when a "friend" thats not on the boards comes in out of no where and starts a bid war..

So pretty much what im saying is to both of you ****ers

ok stop and think about this for a couple minutes please. I do not get dealer cost on performance parts only car audio electronics. I paid 255 for that bov and 80 for the shift **** that was part of my car finance deal. that's 335 for both units. I advertised way below cost at 100 for the bov and 50 for the shift ****.

I posted that ad on the forum in 2 minutes and that was the end of it, because i would like to hook up the impreza community because im a big fan of the car. If one of you would have said i want it and i'll be there tomarrow to pick it up, i would hold it for you but I got no such offers. I made a few phone calls and talked to some friends of mine, after all I am in the automotive trade I had that thing sold within minutes. I had people offering me more for those parts but it was a good friend of mine and i wanted him to have it.

I dont post here on this forum much and do not appreciate the immaturity I recieved. I sold both of those parts to a volkswagen owner. so even if you guys think my "approach" was not cool. think about this.

I paid 335 for those parts and offered to sell them on this forum for 230. and if one of you would have asked me to take 200 I would have just like I did. But whatever its sold now.

I was thinking about providing special deals for i-club members like I do for MPJ and GB motorsports customers but im having second thoughts. maybe I will if the admin or if you 2 convince me to.

it was sold yesterday morning, the post was the night before. and this edger guy never bought it i dont know why he said it was sold to him, i think he was just being greedy.

No, edgar said "sold to me" b/c he said he will take it, 2 minutes after u posted the damn thread, then u turn around, change your story and say "If one of you would have said i want it and i'll be there tomarrow to pick it up, i would hold it for you but I got no such offers" ....Edgar said he'll take it/its sold to him 2 minutes after your post was made...was he 2 minutes to late?...I guess he was cuz you went on to make another thread selling it for $180, even when he said he WILL take it from you.

Its not the fact that you sold it for more that is pissing all these people off....Edgar is a baller, he can afford anything... its the fact that you like to change your story so damn much, that is what is getting everyone mad...
