Given that there are only going to be 800 STI Limiteds coming here the first year, it will be a collector's item. If you do mod the car, keep all the OE stuff so it can be put back to stock if needed.
But are they going to up the numbers in the second year like they did with the Legacy spec B? I just don't foresee any Subaru ever becoming a classic... look at the sales numbers of the SVX back in the 90's. During the last production year ('97) only 640 were sold in the US. Is it rare? Yes... but a classic? Hardly.

its a limited edition version of a car that is mass produced though

it may be a limited version, but everything about the car is still an sti. (besides the luxuries)

What's wrong with moding limited edition? More power is almost always nice. But I wouldn't go with that particular exhaust though. Go with more stealth look + better performance. Perhaps cobb or borla hush?

yup.

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting something as innocuous as a catback on any car since it can always be removed and the stock parts replaced.

<-- has Cobb turbo back and loves it.
