Boost guage reading

My boost is set at 11.5 psi but after school ( car sitting in about 75 degree weather) it was only reading 8.5psi. Now it reads 11.5 again. Did the heat in the car cause the guage to read wrong?

Can't give you a 100% answer, but on my friend's SRT4, the computer limits boost until the engine warms up. I imagine the rex does the same thing. Anyone else want to chime in on this?
