anyone that says that clearly knows nothing of the "rich" history or baseball performance enhancers or recent trends of PITCHERS being on steroids at higher rates than hitters.

Yeah ruth did it while often being overweight and hung over. He was also one of the greatest pitchers of all time before he went pure hitter. On top of that he hit when there was honor in going one on one with a hitter. Pitchers didn't intentionally walk people like they do now. Pitchers weren't using steroids to recover quicker between games and throw 97mph fast ***** into the 8th inning.

Beyond that it's a well known fact that guys back in the day used other forms of performance enhancers...i.e. speed and horse steriods.

the fact that bonds used steroids for a couple years makes him no different than an HUGE percentage of hitters in todays game and yesterdays. Only difference is that Bonds had the ability before that. He won MVP awards long before the roids. 40/40 man. Etc. Steroids don't make you hit .370.....but speed sure as hell helps bad speed....i.e. good old mickey m.

bonds is one of the best ball players of all time playing the field and hitting the ball. Don't forget the like...9 gold gloves he has....
