Bodyshop recommendation for widening rear of wagon?
Hey guys, I've been thinking about having the rear of my wagon converted over to match my sedan front end. Anybody know of a bodyshop that has done this conversion before in the Bay Area? Currently My rear is just rolled, but would like the extra width in the back to match the front end fenders. It looks like it consists of swapping the rear door to a sedan door, swapping the glass out the doors, and using a sedan bumper & quarters.
Heres a picture of how my car currently looks and another one with what im looking for on the rear.

Normally I don't openly reply to this sort of thread other than to back up what I know and someone has already said.
Now that that's clear, are you willing to pay for the type of work I know this shop can do if they choose to take the job in?
They are a top end shop, do Mercedes, Tesla, Maserati, Ferrari and have also done other stuff. It's not close to you per-se but they're closer to you than my second and third suggestions. I can't think of anyone closer to Pacifica that can do this right now.
Brooks Motor Cars over in Oakland. If I could tell you the stuff I've seen go in versus what has then come out you'd be amazed. No promises they'll take the job, but I'll let them know I referred you over.

OP, have you read the build thread for the white wagon in your second pic on NASIOC? If not it might be helpful to check it out.

I realize this is not an easy/cheap thing to do. What im looking for is a shop thats done it before that could give me a good estimate on what I would be looking at to have it done.
I've looked through IAG's thread on it and they mention it would run in the 10k+ for the full conversion (front/back & paint). If I could get the rear done for around 5k just matched to my current paint I would. If shops around here are wanting twice that then the money would be better spent towards another project of mine.
Thanks for the input guys

Call a body shop and ask them how much to shoot only the rear half of your 2004 car. Before you do that, however, prepare your ears for laughter. Bad jokes aside, it won't be easy to color match the back half of your nearly 10-year-old car. Your car looks great now, but if it were two shades of WRB, maybe not so much - even with a sedan rear conversion.
tl;dr - get your whole car painted, which to do it right will be over your $5k budget, irrespective of rear conversion.

My family actually owns a body/paint shop that restores muscle cars down in Louisiana that could handle the work, but by the time I ship the car and have it done, the cost doesnt seem like it would warrant the headache of sending it. I dont have the time to take off of work and help sand/prep the car out there. It was another option I was debating, but they are a long ways from the Bay Area.
shagon wagon, i think if i remember.. he said he installed MK2 golf rear fenders on the wagon. I was looking to do the same to my ride, but getting wheels to pull it off is rather diffcult or expensive.
