Body Shop with Louver Press

I'm trying to hunt down a body shop with a louver press. No flames please, its not for they suby.

I've been trying to help a friend with a Land Cruiser FJ55 solve his V8 related overheating problems. We've tried every conventional solution so the next step is hood ventilation.

Any leads for a body or hot rod shop that could do this work would be appreciated. Ideally this shop would be on the peninsula.

My buddy looked into this with his 4.3 chevy in a 4runna.. Its was EXPENSIVE... he bought a hood scoop off e-bay and swiss cheesed the hood under the scoop.. We played with many thermostats and fans.. Let me know what ya got going.

I maybe able to help you with your problem as i come from the toyota rock-crawling world.. Don't know jack about subaru's but i got the truck part down.. learning subarus tho..

What temp thermostat you running?
What Radiator?

I assume timing, plugs, wires all that are in order as i have seen this raise temperature signifigantly..

If he can't find a shop that'll punch louvers, then an alterantive is to get the hood louvers that Chevy used on the mid 90s Lumina Z34. More or less a "drop in", where you cut the hood and drop in the louvers.

PM me if you want a place that has hook-up prices on GM parts....

We've tried more or less every combination of thermostat, timing, radiator, fan, shroud, etc. The motor is pretty much dialed, but timing and plugs may be something to toy with. I've seen the louver thing work work on a FJ55 with a Cad 500 in it and we're hoping to have the same success. The truck is currently primer and since next step is paint, this is about the cheapest time to look into hood modification.

For cutting holes in sheet metal I prefer a plasma cutter, its not as clumsy or random as a sawsall.
