Exclamation bmw help!

2006 325i

The passenger air bag off light is on and there's a seat belt light on when all of our seat belts are on.

Don't want to take it to dealership because warranty just ended.

What is a simple fix for this?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

faulty passenger oc3 mat most likely. 15k miles or 6 months after warranty ends a dealer (depending on how much they like you) can "goodwill" the repair.

np, always thankful for the help. also excited to see what your doing to your car. seems like you've been selling a lot of your stuff. really want your front bumper for the splitters but my car is in perfect condition and your bumper seemed to have a couple scratches. im just too **** haha.

i was thinking that too but iirc there are sensors in the seat belt clipper for both matt and belt, and the fact that both airbag and seatbelt came on together points me to the clipper sensors? idk..

Why don't you bring it to the dealer? Sorry to say it but remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'm willing to bet if you say the right words they will "goodwill" it. Unless you are out of the said criteria's above.
