now jokes aside, it really depends on a lot of factors: do you remove the engine or do it with the engine in the car, do you need to clean the heads or not, do you need to machine the heads or not. Also I believe that sohc and dohc take different time. of course a tech who has done it 100 times already is gonna take much less time, and if you have the right tools.

Yea, my 00 RS's head gasket is okay in the meantime, but it is a bit leaky. It was recommended that I should eventually replace it when I do my 90k at the most (which is 6k away). Ugh.
