Here is an idea, which I have already confirmed to be possible. Since the Black Friday adds have been released, if you find something you want at a price your comfortable with, go buy it today, and then sometime within the next month, go take advantage of the price guarantee deal which almost every retailer offers. Problem solved, don't bother freezing your *** off in front of the store at 4:00am, unless you are in to that sorta thing.

problem with this is that you must price compare the same day the sale is on, USUALLY...

i tried that with frys. i bought something. saw it on sale on their newspaper ads like a couple days later. but i waited a few days to price match. too late...

Good point. I thought it was the lowest price within the last 30 days. So I guess this would still solve the problem of sitting in line, you could just show up that day right before the sale ended.

There is going to be a 1TB Western Digital External HD USB 2.0 @ Walmart for 78 bux, I might have to pick one up.

Walmart will be holding stores open 24hrs, even the night before to avoid tramplings. People will be able to pick up the items and wait in line to purchase them or so I heard.

Looks like I'll be at Baby's R Us at 10pm Thursday night waiting for the midnight opening... my favorite thing to do after eating and watching football all day.

Friendly warning for you from a techie: the 1TB WD drives, especially the external models, have not been the most reliable that I've seen. I've been using WD drives since I switched brands about 8 years ago, and their 1TB drives aren't up to the same reliability standard that I am used to. I recommend the 500GB models, internal or external. I am giving it some time to see how they work out the reliability issues when dealing with 1TB+ drives. Just food for thought.

It's kind of ironic, because about the only thing you need that much GPU power for is utilizing an ATi feature (eyefinity)

Edit: Well... aside from using your computer tower as a space heater for your feet.

All depends on the setups.

tomshardware.com has a lot of test results with SLI setups vs having a couple of vcards with 512ram
