biking loops?
Anyone know of any good loops, Around 20 miles or so, With adequte space for a bike?
I dont want to ride on roads and force cars to go around me, its dangerous and I dont want to inconvenience the cars on the road. But im looking for like a 20 Mile ride, with little to no-traffic. Maybe a large bike trail? I dono
Where does everyone else ride?

lol, i saw a video where some douche rode on the freeway almost causing a couple accidents. All bad
Im not that skilled of a rider, so id like to find a place to learn before sharing the road with cars. Knowing me, id make a mistake, swerve into traffic, cause an accident, and it would be my fault because im a rookie.

Well its not 20 miles, but there's that bike path along the coast that goes pretty much from Emeryville to El Cerrito. It switches back to a frontage road back to path around the dog park, but its a good distance, probably 5-6 miles

Don't know where you are located, but there is the coyote bike path in Gilroy. 101 and hellyre(sp?) and it will take you down south about 16 miles or so, or if you keep ridding on the roads a little bit further, 17.5 to the top of anderson dam. For a 35 mile round trip. Very scenic, it is on a bike path, I would go early in the morning before the wind picks up, because ridding into a head wind is not fun.

Helps to know what general area
I've been riding from my place in Sunnyvale, to downtown Los Altos via Foothill and back (14.2 miles I think it is). Foothill is nice because it has super wide shoulders for all of the bikes.
I feel you on the not wanting to get in cars' ways though, I hate those bikers.

In the east bay, there's the Iron Horse Trail.
Not really a loop, but I'm sure you can make a custom route. Its pretty legit. No cars, two way walking/biking trail that starts from concord and runs south till dublin. It's flat all the way besides a few short uphills, but nothing I couldn't do on my single speed bike. They also have signs along the trail to point where major roads are as this trail follows along major roads.

Ironhorse trail FTW. It starts in martinez off of Solano way and goes to dublin. Just ride out till you feel like it should be your halfway point and haulass back home. Its a great trail, its got some hills that go both ways either up there and downhill back. It has mile markers on the ground devided in 1/4 miles also. Its a great trail. Here is the link.

im down to ride it! ive got a single speed that i love to cruise on. Im not the fastest rider, Nor the most skilled. I just want a nice long ride that i can push myself on and continue to pedal (hence fixed gear, otherwise i just get lazy).
Im waiting for some parts to come in, but when they do ill let you all know.
And im located in the fairfield area. But im willing to drive for a good ride
