Big ups to GST and Crucial

I need to make my thanks to Jeremy at Crucial for him pointing me to the Exedy clutch instead of the ACT. I just took my car for a little test spin and it feel great. Clutch feel is actually softer than stock. So thanks jeremy for the clutch and flywheel. Yeah I finally got it in..haaa.

And big big ups to tommy and the guys at GST. Tommy got my car done faster than expected and the install seems flawless. (Tommy...sorry about the stubborn bolts and all the dirt). Another fine job by the crew here.

Thanks to greg for the advice on the install and going above and beyond to make it happen for me. I appreciate more than you know.

Was fun hangin out all day doing some work on the laptop and shooting the ****.

Thanks to jeremy for the pizza. I think my stomach was eating some of the excess 30lbs.

Overall another fine experience.

I'm glad my adventures of RIM can be a source of entertainment..haa.

so needless to say..my favorite workhorses are still my favorites and when my engine finally lets go you know where my car will be parked......right next to jeff's.

I have no plans of making my car a permanent fixture at GST. I'm starting to believe my car likes Mike more than it likes me. I think it's because after hours, Greg makes love to my tail pipe in very special ways. That's why niether me nor my car will go anywhere else to get screwed over. GST will do you right.

OneManArmy - Why did you go with the Exedy instead of the ACT? And which models were you debating between?

Ray went with the Exedy cause he's a wuss. Couldn't handle to pedal pressure of the ACT. I suppose, - the satire, this has some truth, my wife won't drive my car because the clutch is so stiff(she usually doesn't have a problem with stiffness:P) In the event Ray's girl gets the wagon, a softer clutch would be handy. As of 1/1 ACT became more expensive than the Exedy.

jeff's right...I'm a wuss...that and I had knee surgery.

I talked to a bunch of people. Went with what sounded the best to me. The Exedy hods plenty of pressure. Has a more stock like pedal feel...they make the stock clutch. I got a KILLER deal on it. I went with the ACT flywheel though.

It's about as soft and smooth as stock which is cool but it definately grabs harder. I'm still getting used to it. So far I love it...noisier than stock though. Think that's the flywheel though.

Basically stage 1 clutches on both. I don't have plans to go over 300whp ever with the car...least while it has a 2.0 in it. And I drive a lot. 92k...my cars a 2004.

and yeah...there is a chance the woman will get my car and I'll buy a forester sti when they release.
