A big shout out to ALL supporting BAIC vendors.
I was going through my closet this morning and came across a box that I had stashed in there and had forgotten about... Inside the box was a CD with all the vendor logos from all previous BAM's (9 years worth) and it brought back a ton of memories and reminds me why BAIC is as great as it...
From the heavy hitter vendors (You know who you are) that have sponsored BAIC since their conception to the smaller vendors who emerge from the woodwork and offer specialized and custom work for us in our subies. All of you are great and play a vital role in this game.
I'm thankful for everyone because it wasn't always the way it is now. When I first got my car is was late 99 and we had ZERO bay area Subaru support. With the exception of BOZZ (didn't know ish about our USDM subies until Alex started there) we didn't have anyone. We were virtually alone.
If you wanted a part that wasn't OEM USDM then you had to order from Japan or Australia and wait like 4 months and if you wanted to get the car worked on you had to take it to a Honda shop basically and have them install it (if you weren't able to make it to an "install-fest" or just didn't know how or have time to do it DIY). In short, it sucked!
As our community has grown we've had some of the best Subaru specialists sprout out all over the bay area, and now, 12 years later we have more aftermarket support than anywhere else on earth (In terms of quality Subaru specific shop).
I'd list each and every vendor but I know I don't have a 100% complete list so I don't want to **** anyone off.
To all the vendors, thanks for being there for us through everything. Keep up the good work and as long as you do you know that you'll have a line of loyal subaru junkies at your disposal.
Just so you guys know, this place would NOT be the same without the dedication of our vendors (They pay our bills, so remember that when you go to a non-BAIC vendor to get your car worked on.
) <--- I'm probably going to receive hell for that statement but I don't care)

Yea, I remember when the only way to get your car tuned was go to Shiv or go to Bill. Bill tuned my car. Now there are plenty of other options. It is nice to see the market expand to have so many options. I owe a lot to some of the shops for helping out. I remember busting my lower control arm on a curb and LIC had one at their shop. Installed and had the steering corrected and it didn't get raped for it. Our vendors are the best.
